I closed the 2019 with a legendary tour in the USA.
Crossed the States from the cold Midwest to the Gulf of Mexico travelling on a 94' Cadillac Hearse with my Texan friend Kiel Grove and his dog Hank.
We played shows together in the central States from north to south, plus some shows by my self in Arizona and Los Angeles on what was a total Blast trip thru the southern Deserts and Mexican Boarders. Feels like the mission been accomplished and another dream came true. Looking forward to go back to America. All the best for the new year and lets see what 2020 brings to this dying world.

Long time no updates,summer went very quick and intence.
Did a few very nice festivals and many shows across Europe, including Muddy Roots Europe, Dark Holler in UK, Elba Sonica and many others.Recently I went up to Sweeden to play a couple of shows and record a few tunes with friends band Suburban Drugdealers a few days ago and a great UK Tour just happened last month (tour poster below).
Actually recording a split Mountain Blues Record with my but Pierluigi Petricca,in my own dialect for the very first time and this gonna be a serious deal!more detail soon about that!

It's from a small surf town on the ocean in the Asturias on a tour day off that I finally find the time to put out this other piece of work I've done lately. With this clip the tribute to the road I spent many nights and days of mylife,where many adventures and troubles happened is complete. This video sees me finally taking back my skills of oldshool obsolete filmaker ,in the complete process of it inluding the filming and the editing. With my beloved oldschool friend and collegue Federico Ferrari at the camera we shot this clip on a January day down the E45. Filmed on tape and edited on an obsolete editing program also the format itself comes out of standards. The awaited "Moons and Mussels" Vinyl LP edition is finally out!
Special limited edition of the Album released in 2017 , out in 300 copies of 12", 45rpm includes the unreleased songs "Balkans Wind" and "The flight of the Stork", originally supposed to be on this record, and recorded in January 2019.
Out in collaboration with Skronk Records and Dead Music what makes this piece
unique is the amazing cover artwork realized by the artist Susanna Doccioli, long time friend and Gipsy Rufina fan and supporter.
She did the work on linocut technique and press.
Starting from the rearrangement of the front album bearded Gipsy picture, taken in 2016 by Ophelie Neve in Brussels, she immagined and drew the 'Moons and Mussels' universe into Gipsy's space and elements like mountains, stars, Lizard, mermaid
and highway to the moon. Grateful to Susanna for this beautiful work.

I'm touring from tomorrow Italy and Switzerland!!
Happy to play the 1st "Road Sweet Road Festival" in Martigny, my old beloved label always by my side in these rumbling years and the " Honky Tonk Festival" in Thun , plus a few shows arond the Alps.
I'm putting out this new-old video clip of "Mud and Blood", song from " Moons and Mussels" album 2017, filmed in 10 minutes before the sunset between the Appennini mountains about 3 years ago. That's where this song comes from and I never gave up with idea of putting this out even if it was troubled to work on coz of the bad quality shots and my rusty edit kills.

Just one year ago I was ready to go for a 3 weeks tour across Russia. The day before I went skateboarding,as I do since im 13 but this time I broke my elbow for a bad fall so I had to give up this tour.One year after I finally made it. Im just back from around 8000km by land trip playing gigs from Poland, Ukraine and Russia till Asia and back to Moscow , Petersburg and ending in Estonia. Around 24 gigs with no offS covering crazy disances which made this tour so special.
I just ant to say Spasiba to everyone who wAs involved it this tour..so many wonderful people I met and made this possible. I love you all. See u soon again.

Really excited to do my very 1st Russian tour. For the occasion I will play part of the tour with my Russian buddy and labelmate Roma Wreckman, and do the rest alone. Before Russia I will hit Ukraine for 3 shows, Im really happy to come back after 4 years and see many friends out there. A bunch of Baltic shows are on the plan.

Summer's almost gone,ups and downs, late August gigs on the coast were played. One week spent in the studio in Bologna for the 1st recordings trance of the new shit.. Brand new Record it's on his way and will be fun! belive me! Out probably Jan 2015, but I'll start to play those new songs at the shows. Gipsy Rufina confirmed the Morrostock Festival in Rio Grande do Sul, for the 18th Oktober, first date of the Brazil Tour 2014, taking place okt-nov 2014. Settle down for a month or two means get more busy than wheN you'r on the road! First of all im doing this Festival on the 25th of April, near Rome, in Ostia I'd be celebrating my 40s,just done few days ago,and the many years on the road(about 10 now i guess, since i gave up the society).Many friends musicians i met on the road in the past years, people i've shared something with, will come to play for me and for everyone will come to see me. All friends from allover the world are invited to this special event. The Festival is called "Outlaw Folkfest" and will be a very relaxed cool sunny day @ the ZK squat, between Rome and Ostia,in the green, near the beach, listening to good music! @ mail me for more info. Second thing is that Im finishing my nex stuff.loads of new song will be soon on the recording desk and out probably after the summer..but I priomise to sing those at the next shows im doing from May, when i start touring again. I'm bound to some Italy,Balkans ,The Nederlands, some Germany and aronud Italy for 2-3 months from May. Home..(if you can call it so)
13.000 km, about 50 shows, 2 months spent on the highways, in the bars,in mothel rooms, on the sofas, with a guitar on, high and low, drunk and stoned and most important thing spent with my big family.It was like 20 intense minutes to me, and every single one was a blast! Thank you all brothers and sisters, old and new friends musicians, bookers, roadies, my guitar,my boots, France, Switzerland, Germany,Belgium and everyone i met..
Now im gonna take a long swim.

Time to hit Belarus again! The new is that for the 1st time Gipsy Rufina becomes a duo! Yes, I'm playing this tour with a percussionist! My Friend Tegu ,Matteo Sideri, drummer for many Italian bands, will tour with me Poland and Belarus and plays percussions on my songs. The tour starts with some south German dates, where I'll play solo, as usual , but on the road with my friends Tom Mess and Perry O'Parson. After the Spanish and Basque sessions it's been ups and downs across the sinking boot last 2 weeks tween Puglia, Liguria and Veneto these days. Still few Italian dates before taking a break in June and work on the new record. Confirmed the Tour in Finland in August.
July will be again ways east. almost sure is a tour in Poland and still plannig the Belarus 7 gigs incursion.

Last time I toured Portugal was 2 years ago and the idea of making a bigger tour even in the north of the country always stucked in my head.Finally I did it.This tour was really great, the gigs were very intense, the people were great to me and my music, the food amazing,the wine anso,the country it's beautiful..

"The first time I met Gipsy, it was at the Sunday live show at Dimensione, a bar in Winterthur, Switzerland, my hometown. A friend of mine, another troubadour "Adhoc«, was playing at the same evening. He always takes care of Gipsy, whenever he hits the road in Switzerland.
As soon Gipsy started to play I could feel his deepness and magic. He's like a cowboy in an apocalyptic world, telling his stories around a small warm camp fire. I was just hypnotized; dark, folk-blues with arabic melody lines. The stories he had to tell and how he played his guitar was so virtuoso. His unique style deeply impressed me.
It was like leaping, without ever hitting the ground.
Time went on, even two years passed by, until I found myself recording Gipsy's new album "Space Talking«
We had an intense, great time working together. You can hear and feel it, when you listen to the album....and I'm sure they even talk about it in space".

what's new?
..the thing is that I'm too lazy to update this website.
when im not on the road I suffer of a strange disease keeping my away from typing a computer keyboard.
I'm back from a very nice tour in Belarus, Poland and Ukraine.
It was really great. Still thank you everyone, I love you and I'll be back very soon!
I promised to brothers and sisters there to put some pictures of it..but for a similar disease It's too boring for me to upload pics on the net...Im gonna do it very soon on the facebok or Vk(some of them are already there)
The new record is on my working desk. Rob is sending me the mixes step by step and it sounds good shit.
TRying to put it out for September in time for the Russian campain tour...I'll keep you more updated about that.

It will be a 12 tracks LP, out after the summer, probably as a swiss-italian labels collaboration.
Gipsy plays all instruments but a very special guest will be in it.
In the meantime, It's about taking ways east again from June, touring Bielorussia,Ukraine,Georgia, Armenia and Turkey.

25.03.12 RMCH film is out with the soundtrack of Gipsy Rufina
The documentary movie about the 90' Rome Hardcore by Giulio Squillacciotti is finally out after years of hard work.
I made the music for it.Some old songs of mine are in the movie,then I did some guitar tunes and actually some acoustic cover versions of old hc bands like Growing Concern, 7 Seconds.I'm also in it as interviewed member of my old hc band Redemption!!

The long tour from Lapland to Italy ends leaving a little bad taste in the mouth..
Things didn't go how planned for reasons I don't put on the net.
Basically the "Madam Fortuna" tour turned into Gipsy Rufina solo tour.
Who knows me knows how seriously I take what i'm doing and how was disappointing for me to realize that part of the work I've done and the energies I spent were vanished for somebody else's superficiality and disrespect. Mistakes were made but It's part of the game.
Luckly enough the tour was great for all the lovely people I met and the beautiful shows I played all the way down from the north to the south riding busses, trains, ferries, car rides.
Now time to go on touring France and Belgium with Greg Doh:
